Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 11 am–10 pm. Corner Dumpling House (Greater Cincinnati Area) Just outside the core of Cincinnati lies Corner Dumpling House, a culinary destination quietly executing regional Chinese dim sum and craft dough-making at an exceptional standard. The brief fifteen-minute queue at peak hours acts as an immediate indicator of its reputation: inside, the room hums with deliberate energy, supported by a front-of-house team whose warmth, attentiveness, and commitment to hospitality turn a modest neighborhood wait into a seamless, welcoming prelude. Dough Mechanics & Culinary Craft To assess a dumpling house requires looking straight at the technical execution of the skin, the integrity of the emulsion inside, and the control of heat. Corner Dumpling House displays an uncompromising commitment to quality at every step. * Skin Tensile Strength & Fold: The skins demonstrate incredible gluten development—rolled thin enough to maintain translucent delicacy while retaining the structural resilience required to hold rich, gelatinous broth without tearing. * Filling & Seasoning Architecture: The protein blends feature pristine freshness and precise fat-to-lean ratios. We got an assortment of dim sum to eat in and sweet and sour pork to go. The soup dumplings weren’t bad flavor wise but the noodle is a bit thicker than I prefer. Makes it easier to handle tho. The crab and pork version was very good, we loved the sesame balls as well. Scallion pancakes were good and that’s pretty standard wherever we go. The chive and pork fried dumplings didn’t seem to have enough filling for me but were very crispy. We also enjoyed the Shang hai shumai and the pan fried spicy beef buns tho that also was a very thick outside. I will say I wish I could’ve tried more but either they were out of a lot of things. Menu wasn’t updated and things were taken off and the menu itself was so faded we couldn’t see many of the items on it. We aren’t local so I’m not sure we would go out of our way to come back and try when Cleveland has similar items just not quite the variety of soup dumplings. And the crowds aren’t so much of a problem either in Cleveland.

Their food portion was great! The taste of every dishes were amazing. We love everything that we ordered, I personally love Kung Pao chicken and husband fell for the chicken fried rice. Recommend this restaurant! You must be prepared for a long queue. We hd waited for our seat for half an hour but it was totally worth it! I think this place is one of the best Chinese restaurant in town. By the way, we ordered a lot and we had leftover to bring back home.

First, everyone here was SUPER courteous and friendly. Every person we interacted with was happy to answer questions about the menu, explain dishes, and help us decide what to order. As a vegetarian, I was pleasantly surprised by how many options there were. I had the tofu dry pot, green beans, rice, a tofu and vegetable dumpling, and a passion fruit tea. There were still several vegetarian dishes on the menu that I didn’t get a chance to try, plus lots of dumpling options. One thing I appreciated was that the menu includes a guide showing you how to eat the soup dumplings, which is great if you’ve never had them before. The atmosphere is so much fun and unlike any restaurant I’ve been to. You can actually watch the dumplings being made, which is pretty mesmerizing. Between the giant dumpling mascot, the themed décor, and the open dumpling-making area, the whole experience felt unique. Parking was easy to find, the restaurant is wheelchair accessible, and it seemed kid friendly as well. We’ll definitely be back!

Finally tried Corner Dumpling House and WOW! It lives up to the hype. We ordered a mix of dumplings and everything was incredible. The pan-fried buns were crispy and fluffy, the soup dumplings were packed with flavor, and the chili oil dumplings were easily a favorite. Super fresh, fast service, and such a fun vibe. Already planning my next visit, so many more things to try. Highly recommend!
